張永宙是古典音樂界最受注目的小提琴家之一，由音樂神童蛻變成現時的成熟音樂家，張氏的成功歸於擁有高品位音樂感、精湛高超琴技和細緻豐富情感，她散發的個人魅力和獨特音樂風格贏盡樂迷和樂評的讚譽，她早在1999年便獲得Avery Fisher音樂大獎，奠定了她在樂壇的地位。

張氏生於美國費城一個韓裔家庭，四歲開始拉奏小提琴、次年入讀美國最著名音樂學府之一的茱莉亞音樂學院，八歲更成為小獨奏家與世界頂級紐約愛樂樂團演奏協奏曲，自此便與該團緊密合作，她亦應邀在世界各地演出，曾與之合作過的著名樂團還包括柏林愛樂樂團、維也納愛樂樂團和阿姆斯特丹皇家音樂廳樂團。

Winter Sonata

The violinist Sarah Chang is recognized around the world as one of the classical music's most captivating and passionate artists. Her musical insight, tuneful maturity, technical virtuosity, and sensitivity astonish musicgoers worldwide. Her remarkable accomplishments were recognized in 1999 with the Avery Fisher Prize, one of the most prestigious awards given to instrumentalists, among several others she received.

Born in Philadelphia to Korean parents, Sarah Chang started playing at the age of four, studied at the prestigious Juilliard School by five, and by eight performed as soloist with the New York Philharmonic. She has been collaborating with the best orchestras in Europe, America and Asia, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic and the Royal Concertgebouw.

At CCM, Sarah Chang will be accompanied by the American pianist Andrew von Oeyen to perform the romantic Brahms' Sonata for Violin and Piano in D minor and Franck's Violin and Piano Sonata in A major, which has a final movement that offers one of the most delightful and sublime dialogue between the violin and the piano in the repertoire. Besides, there’s the Macao premiere of "Fantasy" by the American composer Christopher Theofanidis, specially composed for Sarah Chang. Feel her music sparkling on you!
