  1st Korean Traditional Folk Paintings Exhibition  
     
 

With the support and co-operation from the Korea Women's Association in Hong Kong and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, the 1st Korean Traditional Folks painting exhibition in Hong Kong will take place at the Cultural Center of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea

Korean Traditional folk paintings have hidden meanings on their contents such as happiness, longevity, promotion, good relationship, everlasting love, protecion from bad luck, fortune, wishing for luck, etc.. 

The paintings to be displayed are various and unique from 12 artists including members of Korea Traditional Folks Paintings Association in Hong Kong and Ms. CHOI Jin Ho.  Ms. Choi has been writing a column "Story of Korean paintings in the modern life" on Korean Society Journal for the last two years and recently she started to give lecture on Korean painting at the Korean Women's Association in Hong Kong. 

In additional to works from the 12 artists, 10 special paintings by members of Korea Traditional Folk Paintings Association in Korea will also be displayed.
