Objectives
1. To provide learning and exchange opportunities for learners of Korean and promote the understanding of Korean culture among the local community.
2. To encourage and to inspire learners of Korean to improve their presentation skills.
3. To promote and encourage the development of Korean language education.
Speech Contest Format
Contestants are required to answer questions raised by judges after their speech.
Part One: Speech
Topic: The Words that I want to tell Korea
Time limit: 3~5 minutes
Number of finalists: 7
Part Two: Poem Reading
The contestants may choose and read one of the 10 poems selected by the organizer. Then briefly explain why the particular poem is chosen. Background music and screen image with power point may be used.
The contestants can read the poem with the poem script in hand.

Eligibility
Contestants should be at the age of 15 or above and their native language must not be Korean.
Contestants who have studied Korean for more than 2 years in Korea are not eligible to enter the contest.
Entry Procedure
Contestants should complete and return the Korean Speech Contest 2009 Entry Form together with the script of the speech (in MS Word format) and the CD recorded with the speech in person or by mail to SCS Enrolment Centres or to:

演講題目︰我想跟韓國說的話
演講時限：3至5分鐘
入選決賽人數：7名
詩篇朗讀組︰
由主辦機構挑選的10篇作品當中，選擇一篇以作朗讀，並須要簡述選擇此詩篇之理由。 參選者可加插背景音樂或利用PowerPoint作螢幕影像以輔助朗讀。
演講時限：3至5分鐘
入選決賽人數：7名
參賽資格
15歲或以上，母語為非韓語的人士
**參賽者如曾經在韓國修讀韓語超過二年則不能參賽
