Hong Kong has always been called a city where East meets the West. Its unique geographic location also enables the city to be an Asian culture melting pot.

Being residents of Hong Kong, we are very privileged indeed to be able to benefit from all the cultural exchanges and exposures from our neighbouring countries as well as nations from afar.

A group of us have come together last year because of one single motive and common interest – our love for Korean culture. Our enthusiasm was met by strong encouragement and whole hearted support from the Korean Consulate in Hong Kong.

Within three months, so much momentum has gathered that our group decided to establish a non profit making organization “The Korea Hong Kong Friendship Association” to further our vision and realize our dream.

The aim of the Korea Hong Kong Friendship Association is to bring Korea to Hong Kong, and, at the same time, to bring Hong Kong to Korea. We wish to provide a platform for cultural exchange, and a bridge to narrow the gaps of international understanding.

Our Association is greatly indebted to the former Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong and his successor for the invaluable advice and tremendous support they have given to our group of volunteers. Furthermore, we would like to take this opportunity to show our gratitude to the present Consul General who continues to support “The Korea Hong Kong Friendship Association”.

We are also very grateful to have the full support of the Korean community in Hong Kong. With the rich resources available through the Korean community, our Association is now able to widely publicize different aspects of Korean culture to the people of Hong Kong, who, hitherto, may not have such interest, knowledge, experience or exposure.

We sincerely invite all visitors to enjoy our website and to join our team of Korean culture lovers in Hong Kong.

香港為中西文化匯萃地，主要基於她的特殊政治及經濟因素，以及地理位置的關係 。作為國際都會的香港人，我們具備有利條件接觸世界各國，瞭解各國的文化。

去年年底，一班熱愛韓國文化的朋友，以熱誠的心籌劃成立一個團體，更得到韓國駐港領事館的鼓勵及鼎力支持。這樣，一班志同道合的人結集了力量，在僅僅三個月的籌備中，成立了一個非牟利組織 《港韓好友會》。

《港韓好友會》的宗旨是渴望把韓國文化帶給香港，同時，亦把香港文化帶到韓國。我們希望能夠透過這個團體所提供的文化交流平台，令兩地之間彼此更加了解。

《港韓好友會》可以順利成立，我們要特別感謝韓國前駐港總領事給予我們寶貴的意見及支持，同時，我們亦希望藉著這個機會對現任駐港總領事深表謝意，感謝他繼續支持《港韓好友會》。除此之外，我們亦很榮幸得到港內韓國社區組織的全力協助，將韓國文化透過《港韓好友會》展現於香港，使對韓國有興趣的人可以深入瞭解韓國及其文化。
